Bookworm Birthday

Just a quick post to show a card I made for our  school library processor.  She's another unsung hero at our school who does so much to make the children's and the teachers' lives easier!

Happy birthday, Dale!

The happy, little bookworm and stack of books is from Paper Smooches' Smarty Pants set.  The tiny birthday hat is also Paper Smooches (Zoo Crew), as is the sentiment (Sentiment Sampler).  The little cupcake, candle, and the patterned paper are from the Lawn Fawn sets (Birthday Tags, Dewey Decimal).  I stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Distress Markers.  I love the mix of stamps and the little scene I created.  If I would do it again, I'd think of a different placement for the sentiment. Overall, a fun card to stamp and color!

  1. This is so fun and cute! Love how you combined the Smarty Pants images with the Dewey Decimal paper. Such a perfect match.

  2. Hi Mary, thank you so much for your lovely note on my blog! I am very happy I found another fan & when browsing through your lovely crafty corner here I saw we indeed like very similar things! I saw you also like Stacey Yacula stamps (I just had to get some of those super cute stamps myself and can't wait to get them over to Europe), penguins & simple yet elaborate cards in general - all things I love too! Your blog is great and that bookworm here particularly caught my eye - what a creative card!! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your designs. Cheers, Steph
