Happy Birthday Noteblock

Have you seen these Noteblock stamps from Purple Onion Designs??  I LOVE them!  The design team over there has pics with tons of unique ideas!

Here is a birthday card I made for my nephew.

The inspiration is from designer, Kay Miller.  Here is a link to her BLOG.  If you haven't checked out Purple Onion Designs, yet, do it!  You won't be disappointed!

You're Sweet

Here is a little shape card I made for the challenge at Sugar and Spice Crafty Challenge.

Smooches

Howdy, folks!
Don't ask me why, but I am in a good mood today!  I've been working on this card design all week and I think it's finally come together.

As always, there are things I would fix or change, but I like it.  It's happy and it's me, if you know what I mean.  I was going off the sketch at the Paper Smooches SPARKS  Designer Drafts challenge HERE.
  Here is the sketch:

I love using paper and seeing the colors and patterns together so I cut skinny strips and adhered them haphazardly on squares of paper.  The colors and patterns seemed to call for this little guy from Chubby Chums.  To balance it out and add some more dimension I added some enamel dots.

Be sure to stop by and check out the awesome designs on the challenge blog.  It always amazes me how creative people are!

Stitched Thank You

Being lazy on a Sunday is the best!  I made this card this morning with an image I water-colored about a week ago.  The paper banners and stitching were inspired by a card
from Kristina Werner.

Purple Onion Designs has such a great and varied selection of stamps.  I'm saving my pennies so I can make a nice big birthday order come May!

This little guy is called "Shadow" and the banner is from "Sweet Offerings."  Both are from Stacey Yacula's collections.

One of a Kind

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today's card is very clean.  I actually was inspired by a t-shirt one of my students was wearing one day.  I get ideas all the time from their cute, sparkly outfits!  Little do they know!
Anyway, I had fun using stamps differently.  See if you can figure out the Paper Smooches sets these stamps belong to!

Here is the card:

Let's see how you did!

Tree: Autumn Groves
Leaves and butterfly: a heart stamp from Bitty Bungalows
Butterfly's body:  snowman mouth from Swanky Snowdudes
Sentiment: Fresh Snow (I cut this apart to make it two lines)

I dry embossed some lines on the card base to add a bit of interest to all that white and added the sequins.  Other than that, it just seemed right to leave everything clean and crisp.

I am entering this in the SPARKS Anything Goes challenge.  Please stop over and check out all the wonderful work there.  Be sure to check out the  Paper Smooches  store as well!

Happy Thoughts

Tomorrow is my oldest daughter's birthday. She recently moved into an apartment in a very old house. She is a big fan of flea markets and vintage goodies.

Here is the card I made for her:

Stamps from Purple Onion Designs
Paper from Echo Park
Dies from Lawn Fawn

Her name is Robin, so I thought this little guy would be perfect!
Happy birthday, my girl!  We love you!!

Garden Card

It's beginning to feel like Spring!  I know we're supposed to have snow on Monday, but today it's bright and sunny, if a bit on the windy side.
I'm running late getting my card submitted to the SPARKS Picture Perfect challenge!

Here is the inspiration photo.

Here is my take on it:

I used the Green Thumb set from Paper Smooches and did a bunch of paper piecing and water-coloring.  I added some drops of silver paint that I stole from my husband's model building supplies. The muted purples and greens make me think of a vintage potting shed.
Sooooo looking forward to getting outside and playing in the dirt!

Don't forget to check out the other challenge entries and check out the PAPER SMOOCHES store.  They have some great new products for Spring!

Digital Stamp Birthday Card

Happy Sunday!  It's a cold and gray day and we're anticipating another snowstorm.  Sigh...

This is the first time I used a digital stamp.  It's from Paper Smooches, of course.

I printed on Spectrum Noir white cardstock and colored with my SN markers.  I'm liking clean and simple design lately.  I embossed with a wood grain folder and cut out a section that I then replaced with clear acetate from a packaging folder.  The leaves are only attached at the very top and bottom so no adhesive shows when the card is open.  I used the birthday greeting from the Digits set.

I am entering this in the Paper Smooches Anything Goes SPARKS challenge.  The entries are always amazing!  Stop by and check it out!  Be sure to check out the Paper Smooches website HERE, too!
